What in a cover???

I have been reading the blogs of authors and some of them swear the cover is very very important.
I realized as a reader I don't pay attention to the cover.  The blurb about the story is what helps me make the decision to buy the book, e book and read it.
I was wondering if there are other readers out there who do not pay attention to the covers of books?

It has been a few days since I have written on my blog.  I have been depressed because of not knowing how to create a beautiful e book cover.

My youngest son has decided we need professional help and he has a friend.  Okay.....Hope it works out!!
The only thing holding my books up are the covers.

Did I forget to tell you I have two books finished now.  The full length book is "Second Chance"  and my second book is a novella "The Fainting Damsel".

Second Chance is about a woman with amnesia.  The amnesia doesn't really bother her since she has one hell of a good looking guy telling her, he is married to her.  The problem is the name he calls her by doesn't feel right.  If she isn't his wife, then where is the real wife?

My novella The Fainting Damsel, you guessed it.  It is about a woman that faints at the sight of blood.  Problem is she stumbles onto a murder and she keeps fainting.  What is a girl to do?

I am working on books three and four.  I never seem able just to work on one book at a time.  The story will keep me up at night to write it down.
The one unfortunate thing is these two books are different genres then the other two and from each other.  Seems my muse has a lot of fun on changing what I write.
What is strange I thought one was a murder mystery and it turned out to be a back to the future book.  Now I am researching that time period in south east Arizona.  Did they have electricity in 1906 in Bisbee?  Things like that could trip my book up.

So I will keep plugging away at my stories and hopefully before the year is over I will be able to put them out as e-books.

CRAZY

I have been trying to learn how to create an ebook cover.  So far I haven't had any success.  RATS!
I've followed the guide lines and still nothing.  I may have to break down and buy covers for my two books I have finished.  Any ideas?

A Day in a Life

Had a great day yesterday.  Visited with my oldest son and his family.  We had Navajo Tacos.  Fantstic!

The muse was working last night.  Stayed up late writing.  My second book is coming along great.  I haven't settled on a title yet, but I'm sure it will come to me soon.

Youngest son should have the cover for my first book done today.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

I can hardly wait to see my book "Second Chance" for sale.

So far no one has found my blog.  But it doesn't worry me yet.  I haven't said a lot yet. LOL

The weather has been hot, but that is usual for this part of Arizona.
